September 11th, 2015 BEHLEN Industries LP (BEHLEN) has earned yet another official certification, after being unanimously approved by the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) as a Steel Fabricator CISC Member. In addition to this new approval, BEHLEN was the first North American steel building manufacturer to be registered to ISO 9001, and has since been certified to CSA Standard A660, and have been recognized since 1997 as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Private Companies, achieving and holding Platinum status since 2003. Founded in 1930, the CISC touts themselves as Canada’s voice for the steel construction industry, by promoting dialogue, collaboration, and commerce between industry stakeholders, with a goal of advancing the benefits of steel to the consulting community, builders and buyers, academia and government. CISC members design, engineer, supply, and fabricate structural steel for commercial, industrial, and institutional segments. The organization works to hold the steel construction conversation wherever possible with its portfolio of products and services designed to reach important decision-makers involved in the design, development, and construction processes. Over the past 40 years, BEHLEN has grown to be the largest manufacturer of steel building systems in Canada, while also rising to be one of the largest employers in Brandon. Serving customers around the world, BEHLEN works closely with a growing network of authorized builders to expand their reputation as a global leader in the industry. Most recently, BEHLEN made waves throughout the industry with its announcement of a new one-of-a-kind robotic welding system, after a long period of collaboration with a robotics manufacturer and software developer, quickening production times in their Brandon manufacturing plant.
