BEHLEN signs the biggest contract in company history

Brandon (MB) – April 3, 2017 – BEHLEN Industries LP is excited to announce the signing of a $45 million contract. ‘’This is the biggest contract in our history and a unique deal for us where we have committed to manufacture and build sports complexes in Georgia’’, said Sean Lepper, Vice President & General Manager at BEHLEN. “Winning this contract means more work for BEHLEN employees and more jobs in our community’’

The contract consists of three indoor arenas capable of hosting various sporting events. A larger hall will be able to host 3,500 spectators while two smaller ones will have a capacity of 2,500 people.

These new sporting facilities are going to be located in following Georgian cities; Batumi, Telavi and Gori. Batumi is a resort city and major tourist hub on the Black Sea coast that now will enjoy a modern, high-quality sports complex made in Canada by BEHLEN Industries.

The project is focused on promoting sports and healthy lifestyle in these communities and to give professional athletes and enthusiasts a place where they can train and pursue their dreams.
